  1. Noosa National Park

 

If walking where the bush meets the coastline sounds like your cup of tea, then Noosa National Park could be just the ticket for you! Situated alongside the Pacific Ocean, Noosa National Park has 15kms of trails to discover, many which lead to secluded beaches or lookouts with gorgeous views. Don’t worry about getting lost, either, the trails are well-signed with arrows showing how far away each spot is, so you can choose a walk within your limits. The park is also filled with native wildlife, and if you’re lucky you might get a peak at a resting koala or see dolphins frolicking from the headlands near Alexandria Bay!



  1. Noosa Main Beach

 

Noosa Main Beach is perfect for when you feel like a coastal getaway and don’t mind sharing your views with other people holidaying. The beach is patrolled by surf lifesavers 365 days a year and has gentle waves, making it perfect for families and those who don’t wish to contend with big waves. Cafes and restaurants along the beach mean you won’t need to venture far after a dip in the ocean, and there are plenty of shops to browse on nearby Hastings Street if you forgot an essential holiday item for your trip.

  1. Peregian Beach

 

Situated 12km south of Noosa Heads, Peregian Beach is a small town with a gorgeous beach. If you’re after a getaway without the hustle and bustle of more popular tourist destinations, then Peregian Beach might be just what you’re looking for! With a population of 3,791 according to the 2016 census, Peregian Beach is a chilled-out village on the Sunshine Coast with a beautiful beach, patrolled throughout the year. The town is also home to the ever-popular Peregian Originals, an event held on the second Sunday of each month at the foreshore park, hosting original live music from 1pm. Try to arrive early if you’re planning on attending the open air event, as parking and shade can be limited!

Tewantin National Park is the perfect destination if you love hiking and seeing an array of flora and fauna on your trek. Filled with loads of birds, ancient flooded gum forests and wallum heaths, the park offers unrivalled natural scenery. A 500m track takes you to a lookout with breathtaking 360 degree views of the Noosa River and surrounds, and is especially gorgeous at sunset. Complete with picnic tables, barbeques and drinking water, Tewantin National Park is the ideal spot to unwind and take in the Sunshine Coast’s natural beauty.

Adjoining sections of Noosa National Park, Lake Weyba is a picturesque body of ater home to an array of native birdlife, fish and mangroves. Located 4km south of Noosa, Lake Weyba is a great place to visit if you’re in the Noosa area.
